Based on the Bell Vortex.2, the Vortex Forced Air is the helmet of choice for drivers using an external cooling system. The helmet features a large eyeport and lightweight design. Developed with the involvement and feedback from top Nextel Cup drivers, the helmets' advanced left side ventilation port, mesh face piece and top vents maximize airflow through the helmet for a cool, comfortable ride.

The Bell Vortex.2 Side Air also features an air chamber system designed to increase pressure and accelerate airflow into a sealed chamber in the front of the helmet maximizing ventilation and cooling.

An effective helmet is one that fits properly. Have an assistant use a measuring tape, or a piece of string to measure the circumference of your head starting at a point approximately one inch above the eyebrows in front, around a point in the back of the head that results in the largest possible measurement, and finally wrapping back to the front. It is a good idea to take several measurements to make sure you have the largest one.
